  • How long should I go between hair removal appointments?
Depending on your hair and skin type and the area being treated, you will usually require treatments at 4-6 week intervals. Each part of the body has a different hair growth cycle, so the hair loss will vary depending on what phase your follicles are in at the time of treatment.
  • What body hair colour can be treated with laser hair removal?
Laser light specifically targets the melanin pigment in hair, making it ineffective for treating certain hair colours. We provide treatment for various hair colours, with the exception of grey and white. For individuals with red hair, treatment may work for 50% of individuals, so we recommend conducting a few initial treatments to determine the optimal approach.
  • Will all the treated hair be removed in one session?
It's important to complete the initial course of treatments and at consistent intervals for optimal results. We recommend a series of average 6 treatments done at 6-8 week intervals for maximal hair reduction
  • How does skin tightening work?
Laser Skin Tightening is designed to stimulate dermal collagen production and help with the regeneration of damaged skin cells. Skin tightening works on both Type 1 + Type 3 collagen which is a fibrous protein, found in the extra cellular matrix (Dermis). This treatment involves heat energy being delivered into the skin to penetrate deep down whilst protecting the upper visible layers and keeping them intact. It does this by deep thermal effect within the dermis causing collagen contracture and denaturation. This will then induce growth factors and stimulate new collagen synthesis which will then replace the old collagen with new fibres that are more compact and organized to give a less wrinkled appearance. Results are seen 3 months post treatments.
  • What do I need to do to prepare for my hair removal appointment?
    - Shave treatment area at least 12-24 hours prior to your treatment. - Avoid chemical peels or laser resurfacing treatments at least 4 weeks before your treatment. - Exfoliate the treatment area at least 3 days before your treatment. - Ensure all fake tan is removed and there is no residual fake tan present on the skin 24 hours before your treatment. - Allow 4 weeks prior to your treatment if you have had direct sun exposure. (Any kind of tanning or active sunbathing, with or without SPF). - Allow 2 weeks prior to your treatment if you have had incidental sun exposure (stayed in the shade for the majority of the time during sunny periods, with or without SPF on). - Do not wax, use depilatory creams or pluck hairs four weeks prior to laser treatment.
  • Am I a suitable candidate for skin tightening?
This treatment is suitable for mature individuals who are currently experiencing signs of ageing such as sagging skin, wrinkles, and fine lines. For younger individuals, this treatment can be used for preventative measures against ageing as it helps boost collagen production levels.
